We need a new family member in the capacity of a Systems Engineer (Level 3 Support Technician). You will need to be able to troubleshoot on different IT environments/infrastructures, focused on Microsoft systems. Your key accountabilities will be to provide a top tier (Tier 3) of support: Advanced troubleshooting of servers, internet and network issues, as well as root cause analysis. You also need to plan and implement new infrastructure, as well as tier 2 support: Server monitoring and maintenance, backup testing, general support and training.

Knowledge and skills
  • UTM: setup, implementation, advanced (Sophos and FortiGate)
  • Advanced Threat Mitigation knowledge
  • Switching and VLAN’s
  • Servers: hardware and software config and troubleshooting, recovery
  • Server maintenance, root cause analysis
  • Remote Support
  • Cloud and Onsite Backups testing, impl. and Disaster Recovery
  • Advanced Exchange config, incl Fed, Clusters
  • Microsoft 365 deployment, support
  • Wireless infrastructure, incl Mikrotik, UBNT
  • VOIP including 3CX Phone system
  • Ability to train younger technicians
Qualifications:
  • A+ N+
  • MCSE
  • Matric
Experience:
  • 5 Years Support Desk
  • 3 Years Escalated Support
  • 2 Years Hardware
